In the movie “Giulias Verschwinden” the leading actress said, “When you grow old, you become invisible to the world around you.”

That’s how I felt being a rather old man when a young woman bumped into me because she was devoting her full attention to her smartphone. And so the idea was born to photograph the humanoid creatures that act as guardians and holders of smartphones. Or should I rather say, to photograph smartphones which keep people as slaves?
